We grow publishing. Want to join us?
Supported by our owners, Total Specific Solutions (TSS), Schilling is embarking on an exciting journey to become a leading SaaS player in the publishing industry by expanding our market reach. To get there faster, we are currently looking for an experienced developer to join our agile development team.
Schilling provides highly specialised contracts, rights and royalty solutions to support leading publishers and authors in the Nordic region.
Team and ambitions
As a member of our Product Development team, you will be a colleague to both front-end and back-end developers who form part of an agile team focused on building and delivering working software quickly. We are an experienced team that values challenging one another to deliver the best possible solutions and create value for our customers.
The role
You will be an integral part of the Product Development team, reporting to our Head of Delivery.
It is important that you can help us transform a fully integrated, client-based monolith solution into a web-based interface and take the lead on several new customer-facing product initiatives. You will be part of the creative process of finding good concepts and designing user-friendly user interfaces for advanced solutions as well as the actual realisation of complex solutions through coding.
As an experienced developer, we expect you to:
• Contribute to the innovation of our products to enhance the customer experience and business growth opportunities.
• Help gather and refine requirements, develop designs, implement, test, and document solutions.
• Collaborate with our solution architect on technical solution design, solution architecture, and an “API first” approach on all our products.
• Be a valuable sparring partner for our back-end developers (C++) with respect to the modernisation of our APIs and optimising communication between the back end and front end.
• Help us scale the architecture of our front-end web applications (React) to expose a greater part of our business logic via APIs than today.
You will be an important link between business and development. We expect you to be fully proficient in creating robust and secure code through React/JavaScript. You are able to communicate your vision for design or architecture clearly and precisely to the rest of the team.
Who are you?
You have probably worked for a professional software house and now you are at a stage where you want more influence on the product and solutions. You are also excited to join a company that is just starting up a SaaS and Cloud transformation. So if you can see yourself as a key player in our adventure and want to bring your technical and solution insights into play and make them work for a small but growing software company, then it’s you we are looking for.
